The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs offers small grants in support of undergraduate research. The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) defines Undergraduate Research as: “An inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline.” Concordia University’s Undergraduate Research Program mission is to promote a culture of research and scholarship throughout the University by assisting students and faculty in finding, conducting, and presenting research at the undergraduate level. Undergraduate research supports a student-centered learning environment that fosters student research, scholarship, and creative activities and provides an opportunity for faculty to expand their own research programs and enhance mentoring skills through training new members of their disciplines.
